Dearest Friends of the Hotel Don Pancho,

We would like to share with you that starting in May 2018, the Don Pancho will become an Adults Only (16+) hotel.

We made this decision after listening very closely to our guests; over the last few years, the vast majority of you shared with us their wish of having the Don Pancho cater exclusively to an adult audience. We listened, and have now made your wish our command.

Our goal with this decision is to focus ALL our attention on a very specific type of guest:  the type of guest who values peace and relaxation above all. We believe that with our focus, the Hotel Don Pancho will become an Oasis of Peace like no other in Benidorm.

We are aware that this type of decision can never meet everyone's expectations and that there will be guests who don´t share our new approach. To all current and past guests with children, our most sincere apologies; nothing is further from our purpose than to upset those families who have placed so much trust on us.

And to you, little ones, who have been coming to our hotel year after year, please know that in a few years, once you turn 16, we will be waiting for you and your families with open arms. We will show you then that our hotel is even better than you remembered as a child.

Our Oasis of Peace objective extends past children, to any groups that may disturb the well-being of our guests, such as stag and hen parties and ‘celebration-type’ groups. There are plenty of other hotels in Benidorm that cater to such audience. But not the Don Pancho. Please be assured that will do our very best to discourage such groups.

Thank you very much for all your continued support during this exciting journey together. This is an amazing time; we are confident that the new Adults Only Hotel Don Pancho will shine brighter than ever for all our guests for many, many years to come.

Let's celebrate together St. George's Day in style at Hotel Don Pancho!

Saint George is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated saints in the Christian tradition. The festival of Saint Georges is not only one of the most important in England, but also in many other parts of the world. In many regions of Spain, it is also commemorated, for example, San Jorge in Aragon, or San Jordi in Catalonia and in some municipalities of our Valencian Community. In these places, it is customary on April 23 for men to give a red rose to women, as did the knight Jorge to his princess.

But on this particular day we also share another celebration. Fate wanted two of the greatest writers of European literature, Shakespeare and Cervantes, to die on the same date of the calendar, exactly on April 23, 1616. Thus, St. George's Day also commemorates internationally the Day of Literature, and for that reason in some areas, besides a red rose it is customary to give away a book.

Books are undoubtedly a great travelling companion, especially in those moments of relaxation in which we feel the need to disconnect and let time pass peacefully. The Hotel Don Pancho bets on sports in the Mediterranean Half Marathon of Benidorm

On the 26th and 27th of November, the Benidorm Half Marathon and the 10km race will once again return. At the Hotel Don Pancho we like to bet on sports and healthy living habits, and that is why we wanted to be part of this healthy and fun competition by collaborating as official accommodation of both races.

The Benidorm Half Marathon is one of the great events of the autumn of the Mediterranean and this year it celebrates its 33th edition. It has a distance of 21,097 meters, which run through the center and the coast of the city of Benidorm, which allows to have a panoramic view of both the interior and its beautiful Bay while practicing running, a sport more and more fashionable.

Increasingly popular, the Benidorm Half Marathon receives visitors not only from all over the country but also a large number of foreigners who are encouraged to live this experience that mixes sport and tourism, giving our city even more international fame. Last year our streets welcomed 3,000 runners from which almost half were from other countries, which is a clear example of the international influence of this Half Marathon. This year it is expected that the number of registered people will grow and that again it will become a total success and a sport reference.

For those who are still beginning to compete in running, the 10km run of Benidorm is perfect to start or even to train because of its clean, central and exciting layout. It is one of the fastest and most active on the Costa Blanca, and runs through the city, which makes it very fun.

• With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Juan José Gil is now the leader of the emblematic Hotel Don Pancho.

Since September 2016 Juan Jose Gil joins as the new manager of the emblematic Hotel Don Pancho. His intention for this new stage is "working to provide the highest quality service at the level of the prestigious Hotel Don Pancho. At the same time we intend to work to innovate and develop new processes and strategies that improve our position and our customer satisfaction."

He has a support of almost 20 years of experience in the hotel sector, mainly in 5 star hotels GL and major hotel chains such as Marriott, Starwood, Dolce International or Eurostars, among others, and with intense training in the tourism and hotel sector.

The new design of the Hotel Don Pancho: Cutting-edge equipment while maintaining the essence

It is the first establishment of prestige in Benidorm, and now offers a renovated and modernized environment, which, at the same time, maintains its identity.

After a complete interior and exterior remodeling Don Pancho Hotel now offers guests an elegant and exclusive environment in line with with the demanding requirements of its customers.

More than 40 years dedicated to quality service guarantees recognition of the famous Hotel Don Pancho. With the aim of providing an infrastructure to match its prestige, the Hotel Don Pancho has been renovated inside and out. From small details such as household items, bedding, table or toilet, to the facade, covered with Krion Solid Surface, a material of new generation produced by Porcelanosa and has already been used in some representative buildings in cities such as Capri , Illinois, New York, Casablanca or Toronto.

"We have chosen this material because it is aesthetically very current and has high durability. If it stains or scratches, it can be repaired easily. It has been used in other elements besides the facade, as in some bars cafes, in toilets, or in the buffet dining room, for example" explains Esperanza Corrales, Technical Architect of the refurbishment.

This renovation has used the highest quality, looking to provide solidity and elegance, trying to preserve details of its original essence, mainly the Aztec look that has always characterized the hotel.

Inside the building warm tones and sand colours prevail, which evoke the sea environment, creating a sense of serenity, while the facade contrasts with white and gray colors, with wood tone. "We have worked to achieve a cozy hotel, to transmit tranquility and topicality. We want customers to feel at home, "says Esperanza Corrales.

Each of its 255 rooms has been completely renovated and equipped with new furniture, decoration and facilities, and this also includes new bathrooms with all kinds of details and comfort. In addition, this project has added two new categories stays at the top of the building, one of which will be known as the Penthouse Suite. They offer guests the chance to enjoy large private terraces and a splendid exercise of design, the “Infinity Shower”, that provides the best sea views through a glass wall installed in the shower itself.

This work has also renovated the pool area and all its facilities, ensuring better access, more secure and comfortable, while creating a luxurious environment with a chill out terrace. This terrace, meanwhile, is ready to host shows and live performances from his new stage.

All bars, lounge and restaurant kitchens have also been refurbished, not only in appearance but also in your menu and service they offer. The ballroom and meeting rooms now have the latest lighting and better audiovisual media, besides being much more functional and aesthetic.

As a novelty, the hotel incorporates a new room "Executive", fully equipped for executive meetings.

Summer 2016 begins with the Benidorm Summer Festival from 29 June to 10 July.
